August Greetings & The Wild Exile

Cicadas & Meteors

I learned to exile my wild side as a child and have spent much of my adult life reclaiming her. Foraging and wandering the woods, thorns tugging at my hair and clothing, tear the tamed layers away.  Did tales of big bad wolves that were meant to scare always intrigue you?  Choruses of cicada and meteor showers (the Perseids peak August 12th into August 13th) awaken your senses and remind you of the magic that resides within.. how do you let it out?

Tips for Befriending Your Wild Exile

  • Watching the moon rise
  • Cooking or making tea with aromatic herbs
  • Strength training, good sweats & punching bags
  • Singing & dancing until you feel the trappings of your best etiquette fall away
